I've always struggled with the stock chain tensioner and dropouts on my RIO. They ended up costing me 85 CAD dollars as I stripped the axle on my rear wheel twice. Buy the velobike dropouts before this happens and consider them only costing $60. The fact that I can change my wheel twice as fast is worth $60. Never again will I miss track time because of being unable to remove my wheel, so they were basically free!
Nicest dropouts ever made by anyone ever. Plus they look cool
I always felt the weakest part of the Argon 18 Rio Track bike (Rio) was the quality of the rear dropouts. Velobike replacements are sturdy and well designed. Early days, but I have great confidence these will last much better than the originals.
Yes, I do use a torque wrench and love products that do what they are meant to do.
